The AIFF delegation today completed their two-day inspection of the two Shillong I-League clubs – Shillong Lajong FC and Rangdajied United FC. Roma Khanna, I-League Licensing Manager, and AIFF colleague Pushpargha Chatterjee inspected the two I-League clubs. The yearly inspection is part of the I-League Club Licensing Criteria, set-up by the AIFF with inputs from the AFC and FIFA, wherein clubs have to fulfill the criteria to be part of the I-League.
Roma Khanna visited the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium and checked the spectator’s galleries, the players dressing rooms as well as the referees room, and also interacted with Club officials.
The AIFF inspection takes place every year to encourage clubs to be more professional in their approach, and this year it was not just Shillong Lajong FC but newly promoted I-League club Rangdajied United were also for the first time part of the inspection.
Pushpargha Chatterjee, the AIFF Academies and Coaching Manager, also visited the Youth Team Of Shillong Lajong FC and then travelled to Mawphlang to check the youth academy of Rangdajied United FC.
The AIFF team were quite satisfied with the overall facilities, and also gave their suggestions and feedback on how to further improve the structure and approach of the two clubs.
