Seems like the start of the 2013 is not a good one for Indian football, as after the Mohun Bagan verdict issue, the governing body of Indian football, All India Football Federation (AIFF) have become involved in another issue. This time it seems AIFF failed to pay salaries of its own employees, which was supposed to be given on December 31.
According to some senior officials, this type of thing is not new in AIFF. “Delay of salaries is nothing new in AIFF. Even earlier, the employees have been paid their salaries on 9th or 10th of the month.” said one of the officials.
“I don’t know why there is a hue and cry about the non-payment of salaries of the employees. Yes, they were supposed to be paid on 31st but due to a technical problem, it has been delayed by a few days. We are expecting that they would get their remuneration in another couple of days,” He added.
Another official told, “This is a case of sheer mismanagement on the part of the AIFF officials. They quickly need to get their house in order.”
Seems like politics are going among the officials of the parent body of Indian Football. Some officials have insisted the employees that they will look into this matter and they will try to solve the problem as soon as possible.
