While the Knights of Najd are looking to win their first title in the competition since 1990, the Blue Waves are contending for back-to-back honors.

Despite a good league campaign, Al-Nassr fell short in their top-flight title ambitions once again, finishing 14 points behind Al-Hilal, who went the entire season unbeaten, drawing thrice.
