Sevilla wonderkid Alberto Moreno has dismissed reports that Liverpool have completed a deal to bring him to Anfield, writes Goal.
The Merseysiders have already had a bid in the region of £16 million plus Suso rebuffed, with reports from Spain suggesting Liverpool had subsequently agreed a £18 million deal proving wide of the mark.
Goal understands that Sevilla are demanding a £17.8 million fee for their highly rated left-back and are not interested in Suso.
The Seville-born defender assured Sevillistas in a press conference today that he’s dedicated to playing football at the Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán.
“All I know is that I’ve been a Sevillista since I was a kid. My future? I do not know about that,” he told reporters.
“That’s a matter for my father and my agent to deal with. I have four years [left on my contract], I am dedicated to play and I’m happy here.”
Tottenham are among a list of suitors also thought to be in negotiations with the La Liga club (Roberto Soldado was mooted as a makeweight in a potential player plus cash swap deal for Moreno).
However, The Reds have emerged as the clear front-runners in the pursuit of one of Europe’s leading left-back prospects.
Should Liverpool stump up the additional £2 million to secure his signature, Moreno would be Rodger’s third acquisition this summer, following Rickie Lambert’s £4 million switch from Southampton and Emre Can’s imminent transfer from Bayer Leverkusen.
