Manchester City‘s Aleksandar Kolarov has expressed his desire to stay at the Manchester club and try and establish a starting spot, amid reports that Serie A champions Juventus are interested in the Serbian left-back.
Turkish club Galatasaray are also said to be have been interested in signing the Serbian full-back a while ago. But, now Kolarov has come out and said that he hopes to continue at the Etihad stadium and fight for his place in the side under new manager Manuel Pellegrini.
Kolarov speaking to Tuttosport said: “I’m well at City and I hope to convince Pellegrini of my qualities and to play as much as possible next season. The interest of important and prestigious clubs like Juventus pleases me, but I won’t decide alone about my future.”
While reiterating his happiness at his current club, Kolarov though, did not rule out the possibility of him returning to Italy at some point in the future.
He added: “I can say that I was fine in Italy and that I like Italian football. If something will happen, this will first be decided between two clubs.”
The 27-year-old joined City from Lazio for £19 million in 2010.
