Reports: £53 million Premier League superstar set to reject Manchester City for PSG

Paris Saint Germain Alexis Sanchez
MNC could have company pretty soon.

What's the story?

Oh, PSG! Oh, Winter Transfer Window.

The presence of that one month of madness right in the middle of the season has given rumour mills all over the planet enough and more to run with - and it is but our duty to bring the latest rumours hot off the stove straight to you!

This one comes from Chilean publication Emol and as you would have guessed from the nationality of the publication, Alexis Sanchez is our main protagonist today. The reports suggest that Paris Saint-Germain are willing to lure Alexis Sanchez from a reunion with Pep Guardiola at Manchester City by offering him a $12 million bonus if he signs for them in January.

Interesting how every report out there talks as if Alexis simply won't stay at Arsenal, though. In case Arsenal do sell, they will probably have to do it for a below-market price of £53 million considering that the Chilean can walk out on a free next summer.

In case you didn't know

Sums up Alexis Sanchez in one tweet -

The heart of the matter

Manchester City seemed desperate to sign the Chilean on in the summer, and Pep Guardiola will be furious if his target slips from his grasp and moves to a direct Champions League rival.

Unai Emery, meanwhile, will have a massive headache deciding just how to set his team up - especially considering both Neymar and Sanchez work best if they are given complete freedom of the park... and total control of the ball.

Author's Take

PSG already look terrifying in attack and to be perfectly honest, I do not know how well the Chilean will fit into the system - unless PSG offload Cavani and shift Kylian Mbappe to the centre and even then he may have to play on the right wing.

But just for sheer entertainment's sake it should happen - damn, it would be fun to watch Alexis, Cavani, and Neymar fight over a set-piece wouldn't it?
