Algeria and Colombia are set to face each other for the first time at the Stade Pierre-Mauroy in Lille on Tuesday. The game will also mark the first time in eleven years that the reigning Africa Cup of Nations champions will play a match in France, who played their last friendly in the country against Mali in 2008.
Both teams are unbeaten in their last five encounters and head into the game on the back of draws. Algeria played out a 1-1 stalemate against the Republic of Congo last Thursday, with Monaco's Islam Slimani giving the North Africans an early lead only for Congo to equalise courtesy of a Cédric Bakambu goal a few minutes later.
Meanwhile, Colombia went head-to-head with South American rivals, Chile, over the weekend in a game that saw the two sides play out a goalless but heated draw. Los Cafeteros will hope to get back to winning ways after drawing four consecutive games. Algeria, however, will not make it easy as they also look to achieve more than a draw from the clash.

Match prediction
The game likely to be a tight encounter with both Colombia and Algeria having been difficult to beat in their last five matches. Given that both teams boast of impressive defensive records, not many goals are expected from the match.
While Algeria have a slight edge over Colombia when it comes to their recent form, the South Americans are likely to put up a tough fight against their African opponents.
Final Score: Algeria 1-0 Colombia.
