Former Argentina star Sergio Aguero once named two Real Madrid stars who he believed scored better goals than Cristiano Ronaldo. In April 2023, Aguero conducted one of his regular Twitch live sessions, where he watched a compilation video of Ronaldo and Lionel Messi's best goals.

The Argentine specifically commented on Ronaldo's goals, claiming Real Madrid legends Raul and Karim Benzema have scored better ones than him.

"Look where he [Ronaldo] scores the goal from. Come on. All free-kick goals and pure luck. Messi’s are all at the angle, stupid. But what does [Ronaldo] do? Goalkeeper’s fault. I think Raul has better goals, [Karim] Benzema, I think he has better ones," Aguero said. (via GOAL)

Further, Aguero referred to the Portuguese talisman as a "normal player" and believed that Messi is a superior player because his top goals feature him dribbling past multiple defenders.

“How many free-kick goals were shown? Ronaldo had 15 free kicks among his top 20 goals. In 15 of Messi’s top 20 goals, he dribbled past five players,” he opined.

The Argentine also made the bold claim that Ronaldo got his 2009 FIFA Puskas Award due to an error on the goalkeeper's part and that he will never be able to match up to Messi.

Despite Kun Aguero's opinion, Cristiano Ronaldo will likely always be considered one of Real Madrid's greatest legends. In 438 appearances for the club, the Portuguese forward scored 450 goals and recorded 131 assists. He remains the club's all-time highest goalscorer, followed by Karim Benzema (354) and Raul (323).

Widely considered one of Real Madrid's greatest legends, Cristiano Ronaldo spent the most successful years of his career at Santiago Bernabeu. He represented Los Blancos for nine years between 2009 to 2018, winning four Champions League titles, two La Liga titles, two Copa Del Reys, two Spanish Super Cups, three UEFA Super Cups and three FIFA Club World Cups.

Ronaldo formed the backbone of Los Blancos' attack during his stint at the club, particularly after forming an iconic trio with Karim Benzema and Gareth Bale.

The trio came to be known as BBC (Bale, Benzema, Cristiano) and is widely considered one of the best attacking trios of all time; rivaling Barcelona's MSN trio (Lionel Messi, Neymar and Luis Suarez).

Cristiano Ronaldo's performance during the Los Blancos three-peat in the Champions League is popularly considered his career's peak. The Portuguese legend was the top scorer in the Champions League for three consecutive seasons during this run.

In 2018, Ronaldo left Los Blancos to join Serie A side Juventus for a record fee of €100 million.
