The Republic of Croatia is now a member of the European Union and the Allianz Arena was lit up in their welcome.
The iconic panels of Munich’s Allianz Arena were lit up in red and white – the colours of the Croatian team – on June 30 from 10:00 pm and ended on Monday, July 1 at 02:00 am local time in Germany.
Mario Mandzukic, who is a Croatian international and a part of the Bayern Munich team ,spoke of his happiness of seeing his home stadium donning his national colours.

He told Allianz.com: “I am proud Croatia becomes part of the EU. With this impressive illumination, my home stadium the Allianz Arena becomes Croatian for a few hours.”
The Allianz Arena is one of the largest stadiums in Germany with a seating capacity of 71,437.
