If you are an American and watching the ABC7 news somewhere in the States, you would surely be expecting Bob Bradley, the former United States manager to win some trophies with Chelsea because according to a report of theirs, “Bob Bradley has become the first American manager of a Premier League club. Bradley has been signed to manage Chelsea. Bradley coached the United States in the 2010 World Cup, his most recent role has been at second-tier French club Le Havre.”
Who is Bob Bradley?
Bob Bradley is an American football association coach. He was announced as the new manager of Swansea City on the 3rd of October 2016 after the dismissal of Francesco Guidolin, becoming the first American to manage a Premier League club.
Bradley has been previously involved with MLS team Chicago Fire followed by the managerial role for the U23 United States national team in 2006. The following year, he took in charge of the senior team and maintained his position for 5 years.
He then went on to manage the seven-time African Champions Egypt for a period of 2 years. Bradley was managing La Havre, a French 2nd division club before making his way into the Premier League.
The United States national football team under Bob Bradley won the 2007 CONCACAF Gold Cup followed by a runners-up finish in 2009 and 2011. The team also finished as the runners-up to Brazil in the 2009 Confederations Cup. Bradley had also won the MLS Cup and the U.S. Open Cup, twice during his time with Chicago Fire.

Counting over the performance of Chelsea in the past month, Conte had been at the centre of criticism following their recent form in the Premier League. A 3-0 defeat against Arsenal, a 2-1 defeat against Liverpool and a 2-2 away draw against Swansea meant he was under some serious pressure.
What caused ABC7 to announce Bradley as the new Chelsea boss?
Now, with the results being a bit disappointing under the new Chelsea manager, the American news channel ABC7 encouraged that it wasn’t enough for the Italian and reported that the North-London club has apparently sacked Conte and appointed American Bob Bradley as his successor.
The newsreader of ABC7, a news channel based in the Los Angeles, South California, mistakenly proclaimed that the 58-year-old has been signed to manage Chelsea. What looked unusual was that the newsreader, herself was surprised while she had been reading it out to the people. This has now gone on to create a major blend in the United Sates.
But Conte, much to the delight of the Chelsea fans is still in charge of their team while Bob Bradley, the former United States manager was instead appointed as the successor of Francesco Guidolin in Swansea City. The appointment, however, if it did happen would’ve been very surprising, isn’t it?
