2016/17 Season: The 16/17 season wasn’t a happy one for Arsenal as they were the only English team in the top 6 to miss out on the Champions League.

Bar a few games, like the losses to Crystal Palace and West Brom, Arsenal had no trouble beating the lower placed opposition.

However, the Gunners had a very poor record versus Top 6 opponents, dropping a massive 21 points out of a possible 30.

Alexis Sanchez was at the top of his game last season, top scoring for the Gunners with 24 goals in the league, but, sadly for Arsenal, their inconsistencies overshadowed Alexis’ brilliance.

2017/18 Season So Far: New season but the same old story for the Gunners. A very poor start to the league has seen Arsenal fall 21 points behind the league leaders.

Mesut Ozil’s return to top form has gone in vain thanks to his teammates' disappointing performances.

Last season’s star man Alexis Sanchez has been abysmal this season and at times even looked disinterested while playing, which perhaps indicates that a switch of clubs seems likely for the Chilean.
