What’s the story? If they’ve dropped out at £10m they were never in the running. Celtic’s valuation on Wanyama has been publicly north of £20m in the past, let alone £10m.Does it make sense? Yes, it would have done. Cardiff are a little short on athleticism, which is unusual for a newly promoted Championship side, and Wanyama’s strength and power would have been a great addition. Is the price right? It’s probably about right considering he is only 21 and has looked good in the Champions League. Surprising that Cardiff can’t afford it though as they are heavily backed with Malaysian money. Will it happen? 3/10 – Wouldn’t necessarily right this off just yet as if it gets to later in the summer and he is still at Celtic and Cardiff are struggling for recruits they may be panicked in to it.
