Arsenal are considering whether to activate the £23m release clause in 25-year-old Everton midfielder Marouane Fellaini’s contract.

What’s the story? All systems go at Arsenal. Having signed Higuain they are supposedly looking at Fellaini.Does it make sense? Kind of, but it depends on what role they foresee for him. If they are spending £23m just to have him sit in front of the defence it’s a waste, but if they are letting him surge and roam around the midfield which is when he is at his most dangerous, it makes perfect sense.Is the price right? Yep.Will it happen? 6/10 – It could do but as ever with Arsenal, until there is proof they want to spend money it’s a hard one to call with certainty.
