Roma’s Bosnian midfielder Miralem Pjanic, 23, has played down rumours of a move to Borussia Dortmund as a replacement for 21-year-old Mario Gotze.

What’s the story? Identified as one of our top five to replace Gotze yesterday, Pjanic is of seriously high quality.Does it make sense? Yes. He fits the Borussia Dortmund ethos and adds a bit of sparkle and invention. Roma aren’t in the Champions League again and Dortmund just lost the final, so it’s a step up.Is the price right? Roma would surely want at least £15m which Dortmund have available after the Gotze defection.Will it happen? 5/10 – I don’t think he’ll be above De Bruyne and Eriksen on the shopping list just yet.
