With the season nearing it’s end, teams are already eyeing potential transfers. Here is a list of Manchester United‘s summer transfer targets analysed:
Kevin Strootman, PSV:
Dutch midfielder, Strootman has already announced earlier that he is open for a move in the summer, but needs to be contacted. Manchester earlier told him to change his agent in order to contact him and finalize a deal. Strootman would be a perfect replacement for Michael Carrick, and he will fill in the huge gap at the central midfield and give Manchester United great depth.Chance of the deal happening: 6.5/10
Ezequiel Garay, Benfica:
The former Los Blancos defender, will be an ideal replacement for the 34-year-old Rio Ferdinand. Nemanja Vidic and Ferdinand have their own issues, with one getting older and the other suffering from injuries, and therefore are no longer the first choice at the club. With Jonny Evans turning out to be a strong centre-back for United this season, he along with Garay could form a new defensive partnership at Old Trafford. The Portuguese media claiming that Garay has already signed a contract with United and Garay has even changed his agent to Jorge Mendes, the man who helped Nani and Ronaldo move to Manchester.Chance of the deal happening: 8/10
James Rodriguez, Porto:
The talented Colombian winger has been on the club’s radar for quite a while now and a bid was supposedly rejected at the start of this season. Rodriguez has been scouted by United seven times this season and it looks like Sir Alex Ferguson has been mighty impressed. Anderson could be used as bait to further the deal, with the Brazilian keen on a return after failing to cement his place at the club.Chance of the deal happening: 7/10
Asmir Begovic, Stoke City:
Valued at around 15 million by Stoke City, the Bosnian has been watched by the Red Devils on numerous occasions. At 25, the player he adequate experience in the Barclays Premier League, but lacks experience in the Champions League. With Lindegaard’s place in squad at risk, United could be on the look out for a new keeper. If they sign Begovic, De Gea will face tough competition for his starting spot. The Bosnian claimed he was happy to hear that United interested in him and Stoke seem prepared if they were to lose him by signing Jack Butland in the winter transfer window.Chance of deal happening: 5.5/10
