Spanish midfielder Ander Herrera has arrived at Manchester United’s training ground complex at Carrington in order to finalise his transfer.
New Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has been keen to finalise the deal for Herrera as soon as possible for a fee of around £28 million because his release clause moves up to £32 million on July 1.
Now the the MEN have tweeted that Herrera has arrived at Carrington in order to finalise the deal with an announcement seemingly imminent.
United came close to signing Herrera last summer but a series of administrative mistakes pulled the plug on the deal.
However this summer van Gaal has urged that they return for the midfielder and some reports suggest that the Spaniard’s contract could be as high as £145,000 per week.
Herrera enjoyed a good season for Athletic Bilbao, helping the Basque side return to the Champions League after a disappointing campaign in the 2012-13 season. However despite his good form he wasn’t rewarded with a place in the Spanish World Cup stage.
