Manchester United midfielder Ander Herrera hopes he can follow in the footsteps of the legendary Paul Scholes.
During an interview to the club’s official channel MUTV, Herrera admitted goalscoring is not his strength.
“Yes it’s not one of my best qualities,” Herrera said. “But I think it is very important for midfielders because the best ones in the world like Paul Scholes scored hundreds of goals and I wish one day I can be like Scholes.
“Scholes always worked hard, helped his team-mates, always made a lot of chances for the forwards, not only for him but his team-mates. It’s difficult I know, but I want to be similar to him.”
The Spaniard will get his chance against QPR on Sunday.
