According to the Manchester Evening News, Angel Di Maria’s Prestbury mansion has went up for sale for a staggering £4.1 million following an attempted break-in earlier this year. It is understood that Di Maria and his family have no intention of returning to the property since the ‘terrifying raid’ which took place last month, days before United’s FA Cup fourth round against Cambridge United.
This decision from the Manchester United star, who is currently residing in a Manchester-based hotel with his wife and young child, will add furthur speculation about his future with the Red Devils.
The Manchester Evening News discovered an advertisement that states.
“Magnificent mansion set in well-manicured grounds in the heart of Prestbury on a private road. Indoor swimming pool with glass panels into the sitting room and hallway which truly envelopes the pool into the heart of the house.”
The fully-furnished mansion is described as ‘very high-spec and high-tech’.
Di Maria still unsettled in Manchester
According to reports, the £60 million star could leave the Manchester club in the summer as Paris Saint-Germain, are reportedly keen to sign him.
The French champions would have signed Di Maria last summer after agreeing terms with Real Madrid, but they had to pull the deal after having a £49 million imposed on them by UEFA for failing Financial Fair Play.
Di Maria has been struggling for form recently and his manager Louis van Gaal has admitted that he is concerned about Di Maria, telling reporters last month that he believes in the ‘total human being principle’ - insisting players have to be happy on and off the pitch.
However, the former Real Madrid star has maintained that he is happy at United, despite appearing unsettled in Manchester.
