Fans are very unhappy with Liverpool superstar Andrew Robertson for his showing in their Premier League match against Southampton. The two sides faced off at St. Mary's Stadium, with the Reds coming out with a 3-2 win.

With Southampton in the relegation zone and Liverpool at the top of the table, the Reds were widely expected to win the game with ease. Although they did win, it did not come easy as they had to work hard to come back and secure all three points.

Their defense conceded two goals, with the first coming from a missed penalty. After Virgil van Dijk lost the ball in the middle of the park, Tyler Dibling drove into the final third, but Andy Robertson brought him down to give away a penalty. Adam Armstrong took the effort from the spot, which was saved, but he scored on the rebound in the 42nd minute.

The fans were not happy with Robertson's poor challenge on Dibling that led to the Saints' first goal. They were not pleased about his crossing in the game either, with only three meeting their target out of 11. The left-back struggled in duels, losing four out of six. He was also dribbled past twice.

Fans on social media platform X questioned his performance with comments like these:

"My annoyance with robbo is reaching hendo levels✋🏽" a fan complained.
"Pep had hair the last time robbo delivered a good cross" another mocked.
"What is robbo doing he is struggling big time needs to be subbed" a third claimed.
"Insane to keep Robbo on, Been a liability all game," another complained.
"robbo saudis calling ur name brother," another fan mocked.
"Robbo can’t start no more ffs," said this fan.

Liverpool boss Arne Slot pleased with complete domination

Liverpool head coach Arne Slot was pleased with the Reds' performance. Although they even went behind in the game, the Merseysiders were ruthless in the second half, with Salah's brace giving them the lead and eventual win.

Speaking to Sky Sports afterwards, Slot said (via BBC):

"In the second half I saw the intensity I was looking for in the first half. Southampton make it really difficult for many teams, including top clubs, and they made it difficult today, though we dominated the game completely in my opinion."

He added:

"Although we fell behind in the second half we showed more urgency and intensity. That led to numerous chances and eventually two goals."

Dominik Szoboszlai opened the scoring in the 30th minute for Liverpool but Adam Armstrong equalized for Southampton in the 42nd minute. Mateus Fernandes pounced on the counter in the 56th minute, putting the Saints ahead. However, Mohamed Salah beat the keeper 11 minutes later (65') and scored his second from the penalty spot (83').
