Antoine Griezmann feels Atletico Madrid might fail in La Liga if they think about Champions League

Atletico Madrid French striker Antoine Griezmann has said if Atletico thinks only about the Champions League final against Real Madrid it may "fail" in the remaining matches of La Liga.

"First, Levante and Celta," said Griezmann on Thursday at a publicity event, referring to the last two Liga matches for Atletico, warning his team from focusing only on the Champions League final in Milan, reports Efe.

Atletico are second in the La Liga standings just behind leaders FC Barcelona on goal difference with two matches left.

Regarding the European final, the French striker was very happy after the tremendous effort of Atletico, noting that his team knew they had to do a lot defensively and use the chances they get.

The Atletico striker recalled his goal in the second leg of the Champions League final against Bayern Munich, critical to their passage to the final, saying that striker Fernando Torres made a great assist and the Frenchman had no time to think.

Griezmann said he is not worried about facing Real Madrid in the Champions League final, adding that it will be a good game to play and everything should be done to win it.

He also praised his coach Diego Simeone, saying that he helped him up his level and score more goals.
