Former Inter Milan forward Antonio Cassano believes that Marcus Rashford's huge yearly salary might prevent the Manchester United winger from moving to the Serie A. Rashford's future at Old Trafford has been a subject of speculation in recent weeks amid a rumored crisis with head coach Ruben Amorim.

The Englishman has been linked with numerous sides across Europe. Cassano claims that Rashford's reported €12 million per season salary could prevent him from joining a Serie A side. In an interview with Viva El Futbol, he said (via Football Italia):

"One and a half years ago, not three or five, he had finished the season with 28 goals playing as an attacking winger.
"But something has broken at Manchester United, first with Ten Hag and especially with Amorim. The problem is that he earns €12m per season. Who can afford him in Italy? Nobody can. He would be fantastic for Milan and Juventus, but I don’t think he can join our league."

Juventus and AC Milan have been rumored to be interested in signing Rashford in the ongoing winter transfer window. However, Cassano has claimed that it might be difficult for the Englishman to move to Italy.

In 24 appearances across competitions, Rashford has scored seven goals and registered three assists for Manchester United this season. However, he has not featured for the Red Devils in their last six games across all competitions.

Manchester United's head coach has claimed that he wants to keep Joshua Zirkzee at the club. This comes after there have been speculations surrounding the Dutchman's future at Old Trafford.

In a press conference after his side's 2-2 Premier League game against Liverpool on January 5, Amorim said (via Fabrizio Romano):

"I want to keep Josh Zirkzee because he gives everything."

He added:

"He’s trying in training but we don’t know, the window is open… we will see what happens."

Zirkee joined United from Bologna for a reported €42.50 million last summer. Since joining the Red Devils, he has been criticized for his attacking performance.

In United's 2-0 Premier League loss to Newcastle United last week Monday, Zirkzee was substituted in the 33rd minute. He was booed by a cross-section of the Red Devils supporters while being substituted.

The Dutchman has scored four goals and registered two assists in 28 games across competitions for United. Zirkzee remains in contention to feature for the Red Devils in their next game against Arsenal in the FA Cup third round on Sunday, January 12.
