Argentina named a 26-man preliminary squad for the Olympics on June 17 before announcing their final 22 on July 1.

Thiago Almada, who featured in Goal’s 2019 and 2020 NXGN lists, is included, with Bayer Leverkusen’s Lucas Alario cut as head coach Fernando Batista selected just one over-age player.
