Berlin, March 26 (IANS): German Bundesliga football team Frankfurt and head coach Armin Veh agreed on a contract extension for one year.
Frankfurt’s chief executive Heribert Bruchhagen announced that 52-year-old Veh remains at the club until 2014, to put an end to speculations that their head coach would move on to league rival Schalke, reports Xinhua.
“I am very pleased that we have managed to ensure continuity in the sporting field,” Bruchhagen said on Frankfurt official homepage.
Veh, who won the German championship with Stuttgart in 2007, impressed with the “Eagles” since his signing in 2012, to achieve promotion into first division of the Bundesliga in his first season.
His side currently occupies fourth position to play for a UEFA Champions League berth.
