Sagna (38): Produced three shots on goal and was far more involved going forward than defending as Arsenal dominated, as shown by his heat map below
Mertesacker (49): Missed two good chances to give Arsenal the lead, taking three shots on goal overall, and made 93% of his attempted passes.
Koscielny (79): Completed 53 of his 56 attempted passes, a success rate of 95%.
Monreal (64): Produced nine clearances and five crosses.
Flamini (31): Protected his back four with three headed duels and five clearances.
Arteta (13): Arteta made 88 passes over the course of the afternoon, more than any other player on the pitch and a success rate of 97%, although only two of these produced chances.
Walcott (65): Heavily involved in Arsenal’s attacking play, Walcott put 13 crosses into the Cardiff box and capped his performance with the Gunners’ second goal.
