#1 Gabriel Martinelli shines
As far as full debuts go, the 18-year old's bow was impressive. The stands were abuzz with the prospect of seeing Rob Holding strut his stuff once again, as well as seeing Kieran Tierney finally make his bow in the Arsenal colours.
However, Gabriel Martinelli somewhat stole their thunder. The 18-year-old was very lively from the first blast of the whistle, and he won a freekick as early as the 10th minute. His most telling contribution was the brace he scored either side of a 5-0 emphatic scoreline.
His first goal was a header off a beautiful attacking manoeuvre, with Calum Chambers' volley into the box finding the Brazilian youngster.
Arsenal's 5th goal and Martinelli's second was a total beauty, as the Brazilian curled home a shot from long range, putting the final stamp on a dreadful night for the visiting Nottingham Forest.
