Arsenal and Liverpool target Yann M’Vila is set to join Serie A giants Inter Milan, according to the Daily Star.
M’Vila, 23, has been playing in Russia with Rubin Kazan since January 2013 and has constantly been linked with a move to the Premier League. Both Arsenal and Liverpool were thought to have a strong interest in the central midfielder for around a year but neither club made any real move for the Frenchman.
He made a name for himself playing for Rennes in Ligue 1 and made 22 appearances for France, too. However, his poor attitude off the field was becoming a problem so when Rubin offered £10 million for his services, the French side sold him.
It was believed that Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger was to try and make a move for him either last summer or the recent January transfer window, but nothing happened and M’Vila continued in Russia. Similarly, Brendan Rodgers was tipped to try and sign M’Vila in January to strengthen his midfield at Liverpool but he, instead, reverted Steven Gerrard to a defensive midfield position instead.
It is now believed that M’Vila will complete his move to Inter imminently after missing out on France’s World Cup squad.
Rubin are thought to be happy to accept a fee of around £12.5m for M’Vila.
M’Vila created 9 chances in 19 games for Rubin Kazan this season.
