According to latest reports emerging from Paris, Arsenal and Chelsea are to fight it out for the signature of PSG Midfielder Adrien Rabiot. The midfielder who made his debut for the Les Parisiens under Carlo Ancelotti in 2012, is apparently on the lookout for more first team action to aid his development further and a move to Stamford Bridge or the Emirates may well be the ideal solution as Jose Mourinho and Arsene Wenger are both masters of nurturing talent into world class quality.
In an interview regarding potential interest from England, Rabiot said -
“If I am to be set aside on the day where other players are recruited in my position, it is not worth it. I do not want to live the way Mamadou Sakho did. After a while, when he realised he would not play much, he took the decision to leave and he did well.
“If a new midfielder is recruited in the winter transfer window, it will change the game for me. I would then think about my future.”
The young midfielder possesses a good left foot with the ability to dictate the tempo of the game, operating between the lines of defense and midfield and given the emergence of Paul Pogba in Italy, Adrien Rabiot will be looking to follow the footsteps of his compatriot and may well look elsewhere if opportunities are hard to come by in a star studded PSG team.
