Arsenal and Chelsea combined XI

Arsenal v Chelsea - Premier League

Central-Midfield: Aaron Ramsey

Few people would have picked the Welshman to be one of the players of the season, but that is exactly what Ramsey has been, having become an integral member of Arsenal’s surprise title challenge.

Ramsey has netted eight league goals this season with a conversion rate of 26.7%, which even tops top scoring Luis Suarez, having hit the target with 73% of his shots on goal.

He’s no selfish player either, playing his part for the team by creating 23 chances for colleagues and making a massive 54 tackles, second only to Joel Ward in the Premier League this season.

Central-Midfield: Frank Lampard

Frank Lampard comes in alongside Ramsey in the centre of midfield, with the veteran midfielder still performing admirably for Jose Mourinho’s side.

Despite his ageing years, Lampard has played in all but one of Chelsea’s league fixtures, netting four goals and claiming three assists for the Blues, while his passing accuracy stands at a very decent 84%.

Attacking-Right: Oscar

There’s no room for Juan Mata in this side either, as we have to give it to Mourinho for sticking to his guns and giving Oscar the chance to shine at Stamford Bridge.

He has repaid him with five goals so far, while he has created a further 17 chances for team-mates and completed 14 take-ons.

Attacking-Central: Mesut Ozil

Arsenal v Chelsea - Premier League

His arrival at the Emirates was much heralded, and he has taken to the English game like a duck to water, proving just how talented a player he really is.

Ozil has already set up 36 chances, giving him seven assists this season in addition to the four goals he has netted himself.

His shot accuracy is a phenomenal 81%, his passing comes in at an 88% accuracy, while he has also completed 23 take-ons. He quite simply is a world class player and is welcome in any team on the planet.

Attacking-Left: Eden Hazard

It seems almost strange to realise that Eden Hazard is still only 22, given the influence he has on games, often being the catalyst for a Chelsea victory.

The Belgian has netted six times this season and created a massive 40 chances for his team-mates, which has only brought him four assists, but that is only such a low figure due to the fact that those chances are falling to Fernando Torres.

He has also completed an extraordinary 57 take-ons at a success rate of 60% while he has been fouled 43 times, more than any other player in the division.

Striker: Olivier Giroud

With none of Chelsea’s strikers doing much to earn a regular place in the Blues’ team, let alone this super team, the burden of leading the line falls to Giroud, who has enjoyed a successful season so far for the Gunners.

His seven strikes in the league is more than Chelsea’s strikers combined, while he has also claimed four assists from the 20 chances he has created for his team-mates.
