Arsenal are likely to be without midfielder Jack Wilshere for tomorrow’s trip to Southampton, but could welcome fellow midfield man Aaron Ramseyback into the side. Gunners boss Arsene Wenger confirmed that Wilshere is an injury doubt for tomorrow, but revealed that Ramsey could join Mikel Arteta and Thomas Vermaelen in returning to the Arsenal squad.
Wenger said in a press conference, “We have a doubt about Wilshere but Ramsey, Arteta and Vermaelen are back in the squad”
Wilshere has been in good form for the Premier League leaders in recent weeks, having reverted to his favoured role at the heart of the Gunners midfield. However he is doubtful for the trip to the south coast.
Wenger did have some good news on the injury front, revealing that Aaron Ramsey could return from the injury that has kept him out of action since December 27th. Wenger also told his press conference that Arteta and Vermaelen are also likely to return to the matchday squad as Arsenal take on the side sitting 9th in the Premier League.
On Oxlade-Chamberlain, Wenger said: “He is not fully fit, but he is getting closer. I haven’t decided whether he will start tomorrow”
