A round up of all the latest injuries news ahead of Arsenal’s clash against Crystal Palace.
Following Jack Wilshere’s pre-mature departure during Arsenal’s Champions League match against Dortmund, it was feared that Wilshere might miss out this weekend’s away game at Selhurst Park. However, the midfielder has cleared the air as he revealed that there are no fresh concerns regarding the injury and suggests he was able to run off the knock.
“No it’s just one of those things,” said Wilshere when questioned about his injury. “I jarred my ankle – I’ve done it before. I knew in five or 10 minutes I’d be able to run it off. It eased off and I’m happy about that.”
In other news, Arsenal’s German youngster Gedion Zelalem who was impressive during this year’s pre-season games, is poised to return from his injury that kept him out of the action since early September. The youngster posted this message in his official twitter account:
Nice to be back with the first team again! #AFC
This would probably be the best time for the youngster to make his come back as a chance to make a first team appearance against Chelsea on the Capital One Cup is on the horizon. Although his chances of playing the full game is still a major doubt, the youngster would be hoping that he could make the bench.
