Arsenal are reportedly willing to bring in Colombian striker Radamel Falcao from AS Monaco on a one-year loan deal.
Following a serious ankle injury to their lone target man Oliver Giroud against Everton in the away Premier League fixture, Arsene Wenger is facing a crisis upfront ahead of their 2014/15 campaign and Falcao could be the solution to his problems.
Daily Telegraph reports that Ligue 1 club Monaco has made him available for loan this season and Falcao is keen on making a temporary move to the Emirates.
However, the French club are demanding £20 million for the Colombian international which will include all his wages and bonuses. Even though Arsenal are on the look out for other options, it will be interesting to see if Wenger decides to splash out the demanded price and recruits the 29-year-old.
Real Madrid are also keeping tabs on the Monaco forward. It is being speculated that Los Blancos are looking to add more firepower to their star-studded squad before the summer transfer window closes.
Falcao had joined Monaco back in 2013 for a club record fee of €60 million from Atletico Madrid. He scored 11 goals from 17 appearances last season.
