Arsenal have joined the race for Man United and Liverpool target and Barcelona star Alexis Sanchez, according to reports in the Daily Star.
Sanchez has been in scintillating form for Chile during the World Cup in Brazil and his performances have not gone unnoticed with a number of clubs keeping tabs on the striker.
The former Udinese man has a number of potential suitors with both Juventus and Liverpool heavily linked with the Barcelona man, with the Liverpool reportedly making bid recently for Sanchez.
However, Liverpool seemed set to be pipped to his signing by Juventus who were favourites due to Sanchez’s preference to move back to Italy.
Juventus and Liverpool now have competition in Arsenal, who are declaring their interest in the 25-year-old. Arsene Wenger has been handed a £100 million transfer budget for this summer and a fee in the region of £25-30 million will be enough to prize away the Chilean hit-man.
Wenger is looking to add more firepower up-front with Olivier Giroud leading the line for the majority of last season and Sanchez fits the bill perfectly. His pace, coupled with his lethal finishing makes him an ideal candidate to lead the line for the Gunners.
