Arsene Wenger is ready to spend huge money to make Arsenal EPL champions again

Reports have emerged that Arsene Wenger is ready to spend a stunning £80m to secure three new signings which he believes will make Arsenal title contenders next season. The Sun claim Arsene Wenger has given the go ahead to make the raids and start a mass overhaul of the Gunners squad. Wenger was the only manager in the top clubs in the Premier League to not buy an outfield player having bought only Petr Cech in the summer.

However, this summer, Wenger looks set to bring in three potential superstars which will completely change the dynamics of this Arsenal side. Many reports have already confirmed that a deal for Granit Xhaka is in place, and now, the Arsenal manager seems to be targeting the talented duo of Alvaro Morata and Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

The reports claim Real Madrid are unlikely to trigger the £23m buy-back option in the Spaniard’s contract but Juve could sell to Arsenal for around £30m instead. Chelsea are also interested in signing the talented young Spaniard but, Wenger is confident of securing the services of Morata.

Meanwhile, both Liverpool and Tottenham are set to lose out on Dortmund’s Mkhitaryan as Arsenal lead the way to sign the £20m rated Armenian attacking midfielder. Mkhitaryan has been in fine form this season and the combination of him and Morata might just fire Arsenal to the title next year.

With Welbeck out 9 months due to injury and Giroud not performing at standards high enough to fire the team to the Premier League title, the signing of Morata could prove to be crucial for Arsene Wenger and Arsenal.

Juventus, Manchester City and Bayern Munich interested in Alexis Sanchez

Bayern Munich and Manchester City have been linked with the 27-year-old in recent weeks and now according to Football Italia, Juventus are also keeping close tabs on him. The rumour mill actually began when the ex-Barcelona star reacted angrily after being subbed against Norwich City and stormed off the ground.

The Frenchman bought the Chilean from the Blaugrana for a reported transfer fee of 42.5 million euros in 2014. The forward still has two years left on his contract and has been in talks to extend his deal while raising his wages to £160,000-a-week, but that agreement could now be in serious doubt.

Wenger tried to play down his antics after the game against Norwich saying he was just showing his desire to play.

But the manager, as well as the entire squad are said to be unhappy with Sanchez since his controversial comments at the beginning of March after back to back defeats to United and Swansea when he criticized their lack of desire.

He said, “If we go out on to the pitch with a hunger to become champions, to win the Premier League or the Champions League, we can achieve it, to win big things,” he said. “There are great players. I train with them daily and they have got the mentality and the desire to win but we lack hunger, the mentality that we are [already] winning 1-0 when we go out on to the pitch.”

Arsene Wenger will have plenty to ponder upon before the start of the next season.
