London based English club Arsenal FC are set to bid heavy for German youngster Andre Schurrle in the upcoming January transfer window, with the boss expected to smash the club record and bid £22m for the highly rated German forward.
Schurrle, who has been an integral part of Sami Hyypia’s Bayer side this season, propelling them to second place in the league table was also subject to bids from Chelsea in the summer but nothing materialized. Arsene Wenger will be expecting to slot him beside new recruit Olivier Giroud and remove some pressure of the Frenchman.
The presence of fellow Germans Per Mertesacker and Lukas Podolski could prove to be vital if the youngster decides to shift base from the Bay Arena to Emirates.
