Right-back: Hector Bellerin
The Spanish right-back was not called up for international duty over the last two weeks. After returning from injury, Bellerin made it into the starting line-up against AC Milan. After undergoing training during the international break, Bellerin is expected to be part of the starting line-up against Stoke City.
Centre-backs: Shkodran Mustafi and Laurent Koscielny
For the majority of the season, the duo has played together. They are starting to find the right chemistry at the heart of the defence. Mustafi was not picked by Joachim Low for international duties, but the German defender has had a strong presence in the backline. He is good in the air and can be a threat during set pieces.
Koscielny could return to Arsenal's starting line-up after he played the full match for France in their international friendly. He hurt himself early in the Europa League match and played no role in France's shock loss to Colombia. However, with him playing in the tie against Russia, it could mean that Koscielny is fit to start once more.
Left-back: Nacho Monreal
Monreal has been one of the most reliant and consistent players this season. He provides discipline on the left flank to support the attack. At the back, Monreal seldom sheds his responsibilities and handles pressure well.
