Santi Cazorla has dismissed reports that suggested that Atletico Madrid made a bid to sign him from Arsenal in the summer transfer window, according to a report on Sky Sports.
Rumours circulating during the transfer window suggested that Atletico Madrid were keen to bring the former Malaga man back to Spain but Atletico Madrid president Enrique Cerezo was quick to deny any interest in the player and insisted no offer had been made by the Madrid club.
Cazorla too, has said there was never anything to the rumours and that he didn’t allow their persistence to unsettle him.
“No, because there was never anything in that,” Cazorla told Marca.
“Like Cerezo said, there was no offer made and I was always calm about it.”
