Arsenal star Santi Cazorla denies rumours about Atletico's interest in him

Arsenal winger Santi Cazorla has flatly dismissed rumours about La Liga side Atletico Madrid’s alleged interest in him.

The rumours doing the rounds suggested that Atletico Madrid were considering to offer the Spanish international a contract before the close of the transfer window.

Atletico Madrid president Enrique Cerezo also played down the rumours saying no such offer was made for the talented midfielder.

“No because there was never anything in that,” Cazorla said.

“Like Cerezo said, there was no offer made and I was always calm about it.”

The former Malaga player has scored 12 goals in 41 appearances for Arsenal.
