A goalless draw away to Leicester on Saturday meant that the Gunners are still looking for their first win in the new Premier League season. After losing 3-4 on the opening gameweek at home to Liverpool, the Gunners faithful believed a win was up for the taking at the home of the defending champions, who looked wobbly in their own opener against Hull City.
However, it was not to be as Arsenal failed to capitalize on their lion’s share of possession, looking unimaginative in the final third. In fact, many would say that Arsenal were fortunate to walk away with a single point in the game as Leicester looked disheartened when they were denied a penalty late on as a reckless challenge from Hector Bellerin brought Ahmed Musa down in the box with 2 minutes remaining.
But, amongst the gloom and doom that now clouds The Emirates, Arsene Wenger had some encouragings things to say in his post-match conference regarding their pursuit of a new signing in the transfer market. It has been another frustrating summer for the Gunner faithful who have seen only three new faces come in through the door amongst which only Granit Xhaka can be termed as a “big name” signing.

"Yes we are close," he told BT Sport. "But I would say spending in itself is not a quality. Spending and buying the right players is a quality.
"I am a bit fed up to always respond to the same things. We look and analyse absolutely everything and we have to make the right decisions.
"What matters is that the end of a month we make sure that a club that has 600 employees can pay them all. That is the most important thing.
" Afterwards, if you have the money to spend £300 million you can do it. But at the end of the month, you have to respect everyone who works for the club."
The Gunners have been linked with a number of strikers across Europe with the Gunners having made failed bids to rope in Jamie Vardy and Alexandre Lacazette earlier this summer. Wenger has also been vehemently linked with Valencia star Shkodran Mustafi. However, in recent times the talks seem to have gone cold.
Arsenal will be travelling to Watford next Saturday in the hope of grabbing their first three points of the season. Another new face to along with it will just be the icing on the cake.
