Real Madrid star reportedly rejects Arsenal move
Rumour has it that Real Madrid and Wales star Gareth Bale has reportedly turned down a move to the Emirates as he believes the club cannot match his ambitions.
All season long, there have been whispers that the hierarchy at the Santiago Bernabeu have lost patience with the Welsh winger and his constant injuries and are looking to get him off the payroll before sanctioning a move for either Eden Hazard or Neymar.
The former Spurs winger reportedly prefers a move to Manchester United instead of Arsenal as he feels the Red Devils and manager Jose Mourinho have more desire and ambition to fight for the big trophies, unlike Arsenal and Arsene Wenger.
Gunners surge ahead in the chase to sign young Turkish centre-back
Arsenal have already begun to make plans for the departure of Per Mertesacker and the potential departures of either Shkodran Mustafi or Laurent Koscielny as they look to be ahead in the race to sign Turkish international centre-back Caglar Soyuncu
Mislintat is said to be well aware of the 22-year-old who has been brilliant at the bag for Bundesliga side SC Freiburg this season well and is said to be weighing up a summer bid.
Reports indicate that Arsenal scouts have watched him several times this season and were present at Turkey’s recent friendly against the Republic of Ireland where the shaggy-haired player won his 13th senior cap.
He will not come cheap though as it is said that the Breisgau-Brasilianer (Breisgau Brazilians) as Freiburg is known are desperate to keep him and will demand at least £30m for the youngster.
Arsenal turn to German youngster as a potential replacement for Wilshere
Germany youth international, Max Meyer is being assessed as a potential Jack Wilshere replacement, according to reports.
The 22-year-old midfielder is in the last months of his contract with Schalke 04 and it has been reported that Arsenal’s scouting chief Sven Mislintat has been keeping an eye on him in the event that Wilshire fails to sign the deal offered by the club.
According to the Telegraph, the Gunners see the German as an adequate replacement and are confident of securing a deal with the youngster in a manner similar to the free signing of left-back Sead Kolasinac from the same club at the end of last season.
