Arsenal are linked with a move for Toulouse striker Wissam Ben Yedder as Arsene Wenger eyes an attacking signing before the start of next season. According to Canal+ and renowned journalist Ludo Deroin, Yedder will decide on his next move today with Sevilla and Arsenal being the two options available to him.
According to reports, coming from French media, Arsenal have recently opened talks with the French outfit, while Sevilla are slightly ahead of them in the negotiations. However, GFFN are convinced of Yedder’s transfer to Emirates after the Gunners saw their €35m bid for Alexandre Lacazette turned down by Lyon.
According to Canal+, the Ligue 1 club want €10m + bonuses for Yedder but Arsenal feel that they can bring the price down to €8m given he has been for sale ever since the start of summer transfer window.
The North London outfit’s faithful have seen plenty of failed attempts from their club to sign a striker this summer and are getting anxious about not signing a proper centre-forward ahead of the start of next season.

Olivier Giroud’s inconsistency coupled with Danny Welbeck’s injury woes, mean the forward department still remain Arsenal’s biggest challenge ahead of the 2016/17 season. They are always tagged as one of the favorites for Premier League title but end up throwing away the opportunity due to a lack of goals in big matches.
Arsenal are eager to sign Yedder as Arsene Wenger believes that the 25-year-old can challenge Olivier Giroud for the lone striker’s slot in his team. Last season Yedder scored 23 goals in 41 appearances and has been one of the most consistent players of Ligue 1 in recent times. Only Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Alexandre Lacazette have scored more Ligue 1 goals than Ben Yedder in total over the last 4 seasons.
Arsenal are still pushing for Riyad Mahrez’s signing, who is apparently ready to quit Leicester City this summer. The Foxes were pictured renewing their contract with DHL but the Algerian star was missing from the squad photograph.
Daily Star are certain of seeing Mahrez sign for Arsenal in the coming weeks with Wenger keen to sort the attacking department ahead of next season. Having already signed Granit Xhaka, the Gunners are in the market for a right-sided attacker and a potent striker.
With Yedder rumoured to sign for Arsenal in the coming hours we can finally see Wenger wrapping up his intended transfer business and be ready for the most demanding Premier League season in recent memory.
