It has been a very good season for both Arsenal and Liverpool so far. Liverpool has dominated with its firepower as its strike duo Suarez and Sturridge have made a huge impact. And for Arsenal, it has been teamwork and tactics of Arsene Wenger that has come to its rescue.
In their previous clash in the league, Arsenal took a thrashing conceding five times showing their defensive loopholes to Liverpool who are expecting to give another such performance.
Arsenal
It is a really tough time for Arsenal as they are going to miss their defensive hub Thomas Vermaelen, Santi Cazorla, Walcott and Aaron Ramsey. It is a huge blow for Arsenal as Santi Cazorla sits on the sidelines due to illness. Without their talisman, it is difficult to get a win even in the Emirates Stadium.
Kieran Gibbs is probably going to keep his place in the team following a clean sheet against Manchester United while Wilshere, who has been out of form since returning from his injury might be replaced by Flamini.
Meanwhile, Oxlade-Chamberlain might be hoping for a start in midfield after his impressive midfield skills against Manchester United.
It is also true that Arsenal are undefeated in 16 of their 17 home games against Liverpool in all competitions. I personally think that Arsenal will be trying to defend more and will attacking on the counter to avoid another humiliating defeat.
Probable lineups: Szczesny, Gibbs, Koscielny, Flamini, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Mertesacker, Sagna, Gnabry, Ozil, Rosicky, Giroud
Liverpool
It has been an impressive Cup run for Liverpool as they look to give the Gunners another trashing like they did at Anfield.
Liverpool will miss the services of Lucas Lieva, Mamadou Sakho , Jose Enrique while Glen Johnson is doubtful for the clash.
Daniel Agger is likely to replace Kolo Toure who has been error prone in recent matches with an own goal and providing an assist to the opponent.
Joe Allen is likely to replace Steven Gerrard, who may later come on as a substitute as this is Liverpool’s third game in a meagre time.
Liverpool have won 8 of their last 10 FA Cup matches and are looking to add this one to the tally.
Probable Lineups: Suarez, Sturridge, Sterling, Joe Allen, Henderson, Coutinho, Flanagan, Skrtel, Agger, Cissokho, Brad Jones
My Prediction: Liverpool 3-1 Arsenal
