Arsenal seem to have their season back on track after thrashing Hull City 4-1 at the KCOM Stadium, extending their unbeaten run to five games in all competitions. The result propels them up to third spot on the table after the completion of games on Saturday in the Premier League
The Gunners started the season in disastrous fashion, losing to Liverpool 3-4 at home and could count themselves lucky to escape with a point at Leicester City. However, the Londoners seem to have to have turned a corner and Wenger feels that confidence is slowly seeping into the ranks at Arsenal.

Speaking to Sky Sports after the win at Hull, Wenger felt that his team were “a bit more mature”. However, the Arsenal manager did not want to get carried away with the win and said, "But it's early in the season. Let's just continue to improve and win our games and see where that will go.
"We are ambitious and have a good attitude and spirit. We have gained a bit of confidence from winning a few games. We responded well to our first disappointment and hopefully we can build from that."
Despite winning the game by a big margin, there were nervy moments which could have caused the script to change altogether. The Gunners seemed to be cruising against 10 men Hull City after Jake Livermore was shown a red card for a deliberate handball, which also resulted in a penalty which Alexis Sanchez missed.
However, with 11 minutes to go in the game, Hull were gifted a penalty of their own. Robert Snodgrass stepped up yet again for Hull to halve the deficit, causing the Arsenal faithful to go into panic mode. However, two late goals for the Gunners sealed the deal for them.

The sudden fall in performance within the game didn’t please the manager. "I felt that we played the last 20 minutes without too much purpose to score," the Frenchman said. "When it came back to 2-1 you know what can happen, it would have been a shame not to win.”
However, in the end, with all 3 points in the bag, Wenger was “happy with the performance” and congratulated his players on a job well done, especially after having to play out a tough game against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League.
Arsenal will now travel to the City Ground to face Nottingham Forest in the League Cup before welcoming Antonio Conte and Chelsea to The Emirates next weekend.
