Costa Rica striker Joel Campbell will get a chance to impress at Arsenal next season according to the Gunners manager Arsene Wenger.
The youngster scored one goal and assisted another in his country’s impressive 3-1 win over Uruguay in the World Cup on Saturday.
Wenger, who is doing commentary work for French television station TF1 in Brazil, heard about Campbell’s brilliant performance against Uruguay and is all set to give him his big break next season.
“He will definitely come back to us for pre-season,’ said Wenger while speaking to Sportsmail.
“He is maturing well.”
Campbell, who hasn’t made a single appearance for Arsenal, had a stellar season with Greek giants Olympiakos last summer scoring 8 goals including one against Manchester United in the Champions League.
