Arsene Wenger reveals he has little idea over Theo Walcott’s abdominal muscle problem which kept him out of the 3-1 win over Stoke City, reports Metro.
The England international had to be withdrawn from the Gunners’ starting line-up just an hour before the match against Stoke City, and Wenger is unsure over how long it will take Walcott to recover.
Wenger said: ‘He had an abdominal muscle problem, I don’t really know what it is. Nobody can tell me whether it is just a question of days.
‘He had a test before the game and I decided to play him but he had a little problem before the Marseille game [last week] and it then became a bit worse.
‘It’s a bit mysterious, because we don’t really know what it is.’
Arsenal will play away at West Brom in the Capital One Cup on Wednesday, where Nicklas Bendtner is set to play his first match for the Gunners after an absence of over two years, before they travel to Wales to face Swansea in the Premier League on Saturday.
