Astro turf is neither good for us or Goa: Luis Garcia

Atletico De Kolkata skipper and Luis Garcia said Wednesday that the Astroturf at the Salt Lake Stadium here was not a suitable surface to play football.

"Astroturf is not good either for us or for them. We have somehow adapted to playing on it since we have been playing here since the last two months," Garcia told reporters ahead of their Sunday's playoff against Goa.

Garcia asserted their opponents would be tough to beat but they would just continue with their hard work hoping that it would produce results.

"It does not matter who you play, we have been working hard and we hope to continue this till the end of Dec 20," added the 36-year-old.

"At the moment we have to win the semis. You either go through or you go home."

Earlier FC Goa coach Zico too had complained of the Salt Lake stadium Astroturf saying it was not "conducive" for football.
