Juventus Player Ratings
Wojciech Szczesny- 6/10
Wojciech Szczesny was a spectator for the majority of the game. He made quite a few good saves, but was unlucky to have conceded the only goal of the game.
Alex Sandro- 6/10
Alex Sandro was unlucky to have deflected the ball into the back of the net. The Brazilian did fine defensively, but hardly produced anything substantial higher up the pitch.
Giorgio Chiellini- 7/10
Giorgio Chiellini combined well with Matthijs de Ligt to neutralize anything that came down the center. He led the back-line well and was quite unfortunate to see his side concede so late into the game.
Matthijs de Ligt- 7/10
Matthijs de Ligt put in a solid performance at the back. The Dutch international won 7 duels, made 5 recoveries and won 2 tackles successfully. De Ligt did well to contain Muriel and Zapata.
Juan Cuadrado- 8/10
Juan Cuadrado was the best player for the Bianconeri against Atalanta. The Colombian was a menace going forward. Cuadrado completed 7 dribbles, won 17 duels, made 8 recoveries and won 2 tackles successfully.
Federico Chiesa- 7/10
Federico Chiesa had his moments but was far from his best. The Italian international created a great chance for Alvaro Morata which he failed to put away. He was unlucky to leave the game after receiving a knock.
Adrien Rabiot- 6/10
Adrien Rabiot did well to provide an option higher up the pitch, but looked lost for ideas moving forward. The Frenchman was astute physically, but his lack of vision created a real disconnect between the midfield and attack.
Rodrigo Bentancur- 6.5/10
Rodrigo Bentancur was decent for the Old Lady. The Uruguayan international was good defensively, but failed to provide that cutting-edge in the final third. He failed to create anything substantial for the attacking line. Bentancur looked too cautious moving forward.
Weston McKennie- 7/10
Weston McKennie put in a massive shift in the center of the park. The US international won 6 duels, successfully completed 3 dribbles and made 2 recoveries for his side. He worked real hard to track the opposition players down the line.
Alvaro Morata- 5.5/10
Alvaro Morata had a game to forget. Although he was contained well by the hosts for the majority of the game, he did waste some great chances which could have yielded a different result for Andrea Pirlo's side.
Paulo Dybala- 6/10
Paulo Dybala led the attacking line for the Bianconeri, but found no support from his team-mates high up the pitch. The Argentine is still getting into his rhythm after being sidelined for a while and may take some more time to get back to his absolute best.
Substitutes
Danilo- 6/10
Danilo came on for Chiesa in the 58th minute of the game. The Brazilian was solid for the entirety of his time on the pitch.
Dejan Kulusevski- 6.5/10
Dejan Kulusevski's most noticeable act of the game was creating a big chance for Morata to pounce on which the latter blew.
Arthur- N/A
Arthur did not have much impact on the game.
