#2 Ousmane Dembele

Dembele was a shadow of his usual self
The Frenchman was initially brought to the Camp Nou to replace Neymar. While it was a tough job to live up to, Ousmane Dembele had all the ingredients to succeed at Barcelona. Sadly, he has failed to live up to the expectations so far. The Frenchman's inconsistency on the field, along with his lingering injuries, have hurt his chances at the Camp Nou. On Friday too, he failed to impress once again.

Dembele tried to combine with Nelson Semedo on the wings but failed to break down the opposition. He even drifted inside to play alongside Griezmann in attack but that did not work either.
The Frenchman had looked sharp in preseason, but against Athletic Bilbao, Dembele had a night to forget. It could have been worse in the first half when his crazy back pass saw the ball go straight to Inaki Williams. The Spaniard's attempt was brilliantly saved by ter Stegen to keep the Catalans in the game.
The Frenchman did improve in the second half, however, it was not enough to secure Barcelona a positive result.

Inspired by Diego Maradona, Deepungsu played as an attacking midfielder for his local club at subdivision level in his initial years and scored an important goal or two. However, his all-time favorite footballer is Lionel Messi, and evidently, he feels Argentina's glory in 2022 is his favorite FIFA World Cup moment for fulfilling his long-standing dream. He is also an ardent East Bengal fan.

Unsurprisingly, his favorite manager is Sir Alex Ferguson and the Scotsman helped him get through some of the toughest days of his life. Like the fiery Scot, Deepungsu also leaves no stone unturned when it comes to accuracy in articles and only relies on credible sources.
Despite believing in Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland to create an iconic rivalry, Deepungsu reckons no one can match the longevity of Messi and Ronaldo. He spends his leisure time writing about life on his blog, reading books, and playing the guitar.
