The 24-year old, alongside the returning Luka Modric and Mateo Kovacic, ran the show from the centre of the park. His timely recycling of the ball and darting runs into the boxes hassled Atletico, whereas his fine control of the ball after a long range pass from Gareth Bale was simply sublime.
