Oliver Torres, the 18-year-old Spanish play maker is widely seen as the next big thing to come out of At. Madrid. The player has been likened to Xavi, in terms of playing style and the way in which he utilises the ball. His passing range is staggering considering his age and his confidence exudes onto his teammates. Torres is the exact type of player you would expect to come through a Spanish youth system and looks set to become a huge name in future. His dribbling, passing and shooting techniques are sublime, as is his vision. When playing for La Rojita, he is the stand out player. He controls midfield, swivelling on the ball as opposition close him down; he has the composure to take a quick turn, spot a pass and then play it with expert precision. Oliver has played four matches in La Liga this season, gradually staying on the pitch longer per match. In his latest game, against Real Betis, he got his first start of the season and scored after just 13 seconds. In his four matches this season, Torres has created four chances for his teammates and during his most recent performance at home to Betis, he completed 73% of his passes (22/30), while also creating two chances.
His impressive performance also featured two out of two attempted take-ons completed, two of his three crosses, one interception and he won his only tackle.
