The FIFA World Cup 2014 is just around the corner and something which will be very interesting to be noted is the average age of all the 32 teams participating in this World Cup.
While Argentina has the oldest age, Belgium has the youngest aged players in the squad. Argentina alone has three players in Hugo Campagnaro of Inter Milan, Maxi Rodriguez of Newell’s Old Boys and Martin Demechellis of Manchester City who are all aged 33 while there are total of eight players in the Argentina Squad who are in their thirties.
If Argentina has good number of oldies in their squads, Belgium will walk into the World Cup 2014 with youngest squad at their disposal. Divock Origi of Lille and Adnan Januzaj of Manchester United are both aged nineteen and are the youngest players in the squad. Other notable names include Everton’s Romelo Lukaku who is only twenty-one and Atletico Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois who is aged twenty two. Apart from that there are total of ten players in the Belgium Squad who are under the age of twenty five and below.
The oldest player to take part in the 2014 World Cup is Columbia’s Faryd Mondragon who is 42 years old and the youngest players to take part are Cameroon’s Fabrice Olinga and England’s Luke Shaw who are both only 18 years old.
